Industry 4.0 is often used interchangeably with the notion of the fourth industrial revolution. Industry 4.0 refers to the intelligent networking of machines and processes for industry with the help of information and communication technology.

Industry 4.0 refers to the digital transformation in the most of industries. The areas/disciplines like IoT, Cyber Security, Augmented reality, Bigdata, Autonomous robots, Additive manufacturing, simulation and cloud computing become the crux of Industry 4.0.

The existing syllabus (old regulations) is augmented with current needed skills as additional courses in terms of audit courses. GRIET constantly reviews curriculum in tune with the industry demands. The new regulations GR22 are being introduced from the academic year 2022-23.

GR22 Course curriculum/syllabus is ready to onboard to equip the students with all necessary skills to be industry 4.0 ready.

The following new programmes at Undergraduate level are introduced from the Academic Year 2023-24 to meet the Industry 4.0 requirements:

  • B.Tech CSE (Artificial Intelligence)
  • B.Tech CSIT

The B.Tech CSE(Artificial Intelligence)/B.Tech CSIT have bright career opportunities in IT/ITES industries as Product Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer, Decision Scientist, Information Security Analyst, Network Architect.

Covid-19 has forced Educational Institutes across the world and in India, to suspend physical classrooms and shift to online classes. As soon as the Covid-19 crisis broke out, GRIET announced the suspension of classes and started online classes. Thanks to the quick change over to the New Normal, the academic activities @ GRIET are less affected. The regular academic activities are being continued along with the MOOCs of variety of digital platforms like NPTEL,SWAYAM, COURSERA etc., An exclusive digital platform “NewtonClassroom” is adopted at GRIET to conduct regular classes using googlemeet platform. The classes are automatically recorded and stored for further reference by the students.

At GRIET, we strictly follow the guidelines given by Ministry of Health Affairs, Government of India and University Grants Commission (UGC) to for the safety of students, faculty and staff and also prevent the spread of COVID 19.

  2. Digitalization of the day to day operations.
  3. Study certificates/bonafide certificates are being issued online
  4. Flexible working hours to reduce the workman density

A degree for a graduate programme can only be awarded by a University. When the demand from the society is more, university takes the help of private institutions, to offer its programmes to larger numbers.

Affiliation

University grants affiliation to such institutions, to conduct programmes as per its curriculum, regulations and calendar. The affiliated institutions with their infrastructure and qualified faculty conducts these programmes as per university norms, including examinations as per university. Evaluation, declaration of results, issue of marks memos are done by the university. It confers degree to successful students approved programmes.
Autonmous

An autonomous institution is an affiliated institution with an academic freedom to design and implement its own curriculum, regulations, syllabus, academic calendar, examinations, declare results and issue marks memos for the affiliating university to issue the final degree. Autonomous status is granted by University Grants Commission.(UGC)

GRIET, since establishment in 1997, is affiliated to JNTUH and it is conferred with autonomous status by UGC in 2014-15 for six years. As an autonomous institute GRIET exercises its academic freedom to design and implement its own curriculum, regulations, syllabus, academic calendar, examinations, declare results and issue marks memos every semester, CMM and Provisional Certificate. It's affiliating university JNTUH issues the final degree for all the programmes of GRIET.



All GRIET programmes are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

All the above programmes are affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University Hyderabad (JNTU) Hyderabad.

GRIET and its programmes are recognised by the Telangana State Higher Education Council.

GRIET fee structure is decided by the Telangana State Fee Regulatory Committee.
